SSR SeIfie

  I read a fiction book called The tree hut treaty .

I read 10 pages. The main character is Jack, Tia, Manaia Crystal .

In the beginning   Tia and Manaia looked up as a truck rumbled past their house. They heard it stop and sing beep beep beep as it backed into the driveway next door. They were new neighbours they peeked through the fence beside the pohutukawa tree. Some men jumped out of the truck and swung open the big back doors. They lifted out lost of heavy furniture.

I like this book because of the pictures.

SSR Selfie

 I read a fiction book called shitfing views.

I read 12 pages. The main character is the drone.

In the story it explains how a drone works and the pieces of the drone it also explaines how 

you power it.

Steps Web

 Today I did Steps web the activity was word search.  I had to find the words and highlight them.

                                                                           

Second I did sentence builder were heaps heaps of words are spread out and you have to make a sentence out of the words.

I enjoyed this activity because some times i learn new words and it helps me spell new words as well.

 I read a School Journal May 2016

It is about  Fact, Poems,Articles, Stories.

I enjoyed the storie about maui because it helps me learn more maori words in it and about fish.

Madlilbs

My group and I did an activity called madlilbs. we have to write down a name, Friends name, City and Monster.

First we worte down a name that was Jack. 

Secnond we had to write down a friends that was Matt.

Third we had to write a city the city was New York.

Last we had to write down a monster the monster was a vampire.

My group used those things and name's  to make a story. 

There was a haunted house in New York. "It is very scary," said Jack and Matt replied, "Yes, I am very scared." They both went through the black, creaky  gates open as they walked to the house they saw a Vampire lurking in the dark. They both screamed very loud saying, "Ahhhh! Its a Vampire!" And they both got torn to shreds but the vampire ran away because Jack’s t-shirt was cyan.Vampire hate light colour.

Steps web

Today I did some Steps 

The first activity I did was sentence builder in this activity you have to put the right words to make a sentence.

Typing

 I completed a typing activity. 

This activity was about learning to look at the screen and type more often.

First I went on Dance Mat Typing level 3 and put a 15 minute timer.

Then I placed my fingers on fkl; ui.

To finish up I put the finished reults on a google slide.

SSR

Today I read Ice bregs By Jane Elliott.

In the story ice bergs are comprised of fresh water the trem ice berg originates from the dutch.

I enjoyed the book about Icebergs because if has fun facts about ice bergs.

 

Persuasive Speech Plan

I Did Persuasive Speech Plan 

First I had to my topic my topic was bullying my argument was  People shouldn't bully other people.

I then had to write down some ideas  for an example. I needed to write some facts about bullying and put the link where I got it from.

Next I wrote one of the reasons why we should stop bullying.   

Lastly, I wrote my last reason why we should stop bullying.   

I learned a lot about the Persuasive Speech Plan.   

Brainstorming

 I did brainstorming ideas. 

First I had to write some ideas about different things.   For example three different texts about self and other stuff like that.

Second We had to highlight the ideas  Red means that you don't know much about, Yellow means that you are not sure, Green means that you are sure. 

Last I changed my fonts to make it pretty.  

I learned a lot about brainstorming.  

 

Toy Tech

The creative masters looked at every part of the party popper and saw what parts needed to be changed. We experienced the party popper to see what parts work.

In the beginning, we changed the cup, the filling and the outside look. We changed the parts except for the stopper, the weight, the hole on the bottom of the cup and the elastic band.

Afterwards we thought about what our design would be for the cup.

To finish up we changed some parts because they didn't work well but that's ok .

I enjoyed doing this activity because it help me learn about party poppers.

Balance

 Today I used frisbee equipment to help me with my balance.

First I got into pairs then I used the frisbee to throw to my partner.

Next I  acted like a dog and also use the frisbee technique to balance while runing and jumping to catch the frisbee.

Lastly I played ultimate frisbee in groups. I had to use the same technique to play ultimate frisbee.

I like the the sport that I played today it help me with my balance. 

Where things are in maori

We learnt about words. 

We first went with whaea Odie to learn matoa and maui. Maui means left and matau means right. 

 For example Kea hea te aporo Kei roto i te peke. This means where is the apple? Is it  inside the bag.

Confidence

It is important to PE because you need to respect the teacher and you need to have confidence and attitude.

Main Ideas

The book is about why animals migrate. Animals migrate because to find food or house's and some animals need to breed so they to move to a warm place.

Hook

First Mr Ogilvie showed us a video explaining what an introduction contains.

Next, we wrote an introduction and a hook about three different topics. Did you know that the largest firework display ever consisted of 810, 904 fireworks? A firework consists of gunpowder a fuse and potassium nitrate. When these three mechanisms come together they create a colorful explosion in the air.

Then we wrote an introduction about the life cycle of a butterfly. Did you know that there are almost 20,000 butterfly species? The mother butterfly lays eggs and they turn into caterpillars and makes a crysalys and then turns into a butterfly. it takes 9-14 days for a caterpillar to turn into a butterfly.

Then we had to write a introduction about how chocolate is made. Did you know that chocolate is made by cocoa powder? Firstly dried cocoa beans will be roasted, then heated and blended with food coloring sugar and flavouring, When the chocolate is made they will wrap it in paper.

Next time I write an introduction I should to try to add more information about butterfluys, chocolate, fireworks.

3 Simple Machines

 Did you know that there are 3 simple machines that help move heavy objects, which are pulley, screw, Wheel and axle.

Balance

Today I did sport called balance.

First I had to try and catch the basketball while balanceing on on leg without falling down. It was really hard to balance on one leg because the wind was blowing me then I started to wiggle.

Second I did hocky I had to also balance on one leg but it was diffrent I had a stick and a ball. It was realy esay to do because the stick was helping me balance i liltle bit.

Third Netball for netball I had to though it to my partnar from my chest to my partnar chest but balancing.

This was hard because my balanceing was not straight enough when my partnar thoughed the ball at me.

Fourth I did firsbee for the firsbee I had to though it to my partnar but on the side it was hard because my 

though is bad it kept on going on the worng direction

Fifth rugby I had to though it to my partnar again and on my side and though it was complicating because when I though it my partnar was scared.

This was hard because my balanceing is bad. The hardest equipment that I used was the firsbee.
