Poem - I Hear

I Hear
When I think of my house.
I hear
My mum cooking and I can hear sizzling sausages cooking in the kitchen
The TV playing in the sitting room
My sister, playing tag with my cousin.
Birds singing outside.
My other sister calling her friends
The family is talking.
I'm in my room creating things like birds out of paper And there, just outside my top window
As if it had never ceased to be
But only needed listening to
There are kids reading.
Here is the original poem.I  have written my own poem

  1. Kia ora Genesis, what beautiful writing. I like how you describe what's happening inside and outside yof our house. Were you inspired by the birds singing when you made birds out of paper? Ka rawe Genesis, keep up the great writing. I look forward to reading more of your poems. From Miss Cockeram.
